Life is amazing. All the lessons we learn, all the experiences we endure, all of the joy and sorrow it brings, it's amazing.
I was sitting home thinking about life and all I've experienced, when it dawned on me, I've seen and experienced a lot. One thing that really amazed me was how hard we as people work to try to achieve things. Some things we need some we don't. People work very hard at perfecting the imperfections that society has deemed imperfect.
Watching the news there are so many different things going on negatively it's ridiculous. The robbing, stealing, killing, rape, and all other manner of evil. It's overwhelming.
The mindset of this generation has fell to an all time low and our moral is gone. This generation has neglected God and the will to please him. We are dare devils and will do anything it takes to gain a dollar. The big question is WHY?
We have trusted the image that society and popularity has given us to be true and the way of life rather than the image Christ has made us in. The bible tells us in Genesis 1:26,27 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
God has made us in his own image and in his likeness. He has sent Jesus to set the example of what life should be like and made it easy for us. He tells also in Matthew 6:32,33 "(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
We as people have to stop letting this false image that is portrayed to us be our basis for living. God knows what we need.
It is far too risky to live this life trying to "get on top". The will of God is the best and perfect position for us to be in. Why do we risk so much just to live justifiable to others but not Christ?
We can't take anything that we gain in this earth with us at the return of Jesus nor when we die. So then is everything we have done worth the temporal satisfaction that we've felt that leads to a tormented end?
Today I encourage you to examine yourself and your decisions. Examine your desires. Whatever you love you'll do anything for. The love of money is the root of all evil and the ways of evil is sin and when sin is finished it renders death.
The love of God will lead you to a peaceful happy and prosperous life. One of the greatest feelings in the world is to know that the life you're living is pleasing to God.
This world will make you believe you need all these unnecessary things, this lavish lifestyle, these wicked desires and dreams and will have you on your way to a place burning with fire forever and not even an ocean can put it out.
The temporal satisfaction of wicked pleasures is not worth the risk of your soul being tormented eternally. God loves you. He's sent the example and he knows what you need. Let what he has established be your basis for living. Let your goals be the desires Jesus has for you.
